  • I own the video and the lead sheet. Next to Johnny Mathis, for me, Doris day. *sigh.* Is it your impression that when she sings you can believe almost ay and everything is possible? You can feel the severity. That how I've been trying singing for years. But you really need to understand the lyric as my mentor Jack Segal (Scarlet ribbons, When Sunny Gets Blue) you you must understand what the lyrics was trying to convey. So many ways to say a thing. I think she said it all so beautifully!

  • @archer11271965 I think she has an amazing ability to get to the heart of a song and sing it so intimately it seems she's singing just to you. She's one of the best ... no doubt about it !

  • @Dayniac4324 - I think now I understand why I like Doris Day so much. It is like she is singing to you only and is making you the center of her universe. She just melts me away; Always has with her songs.

  • @thefather32 She certainly has that quality. She sings so intimately ... it feels as if its just for you. She said in her book that she learned that from her voice teacher - to sing as if you are singing to just one person. I think she learned that lesson well ! So happy you enjoyed !!
