The Seven Family braved the weather to get these videos! Here in North Adams, we don't judge storms merely by the typical stuff, we also judge them from how furious they make our flood chutes. Before the Corps of Army Engineers built these things half a century ago, the town was routinely devastated by river floods. We'd be in a big disaster today if it weren't for these canals.
the day north adams got an enema!

@ImSimplyAwesome Really??? Incredible, but I still think if these chutes hadn't been there we STILL would have been in tremendous danger. Look at Vermont! Also the river at Shelburne Falls!!

Incredible!! Thank God for those flood chutes or North Adams and Adams would have been washed away!!! Never have I seen such power in that river, looks like Niagara FALLS!! Really great shots!! Be careful! God bless!

I want to know what happened on Mt. Greylock? Any new 'slides? Water must have been pouring down the Adams side during the deluge! No pics, anybody?

@nodlon20 Me and my dad were looking at the river very very late before the actual storm and the river was EXTREMELY dirty and it only rained about an inch, we waited until the storm was over but we walked ALL the way up the river in my back yard and we got to the top of the mountain on the savoy side and it turns out the corp of engineers is what caused most of the damage, they built GIANT lakes at the tops of the mountains and little devices to "Slow" the water but failed and released it all.
