  • Derbyshire is a clown? No way. While I understand your appreciation for Sam I dont think you know what youre talking about with Derbyshire. Dont mistake his friendly good nature for intellectual incompetence. Hes an extremely well-studied man, a courageous thinker and a crisp, entertaining writer. Go to Takis blog and read his entries over the past couple years to see for yourself.

  • Wow, I can understand that you may like him less than some other writers but calling his writing half-baked... calling him a clown... pointing up the silly anecdote about his Visa? I tend to have more respect for people whom I largely agree with, especially when they are in the public forum taking risks and doing what they do with the grace and articulation of Derbyshire. The kind of pretentious pettiness you display is what makes it difficult for us to move ahead in the right direction.

  • Derbyshire is like Murray, both writers have a graceful, and in the case of Derbyshire almost folksy, fluidity that can hide their very carefully balanced and highly scrutinized assessment of ideas. I think you are young and do not realize this, but may appreciate the writing of someone like Derbyshire more over the years. For now, if you are a fan of guys like Brimelow and Francis, you should err on the side of good taste and reserve your ham-fisted judgements.

  • He made a total fool of himself when he aggressively insisted that immigrants to America who overstay their Visas should be banned from the country for life.

Sadly for him, it was revealed that he outstayed his for five years.

I have read his blogs and his contributions to V-Dare. I found his offerings to be half baked and lacking compared to Sam Francis and Peter Brimelow

  • Love the Derb. Didn't realize he was so well read philosophically.

  • John Derbyshire has more courage than most of us put together. Sometimes it seems that he's the only person on the Right who has the courage to point out what a destructive and profoundly NON-CONSERVATIVE doctrine Creationism is.
