However, Roger Fisher, (founding band member and one of the five co-writers of the song), was reported to be "thrilled" by the song's use, as the publicity it generated allowed him to endorse Barack Obama's campaign to a much bigger audience, and the additional royalties generated allowed him to make a bigger donation to Obama's campaign.
