I was nodding in agreement until he said the problem is that we're spending too much time in front of computers...

@48acar19 Seems you are describing Laws directed toward the Israelites.

@sapnyosentry If you get the chance go hear him. Dynamic.

Indeed. There are few things more immoral than christian morality.

I am asking you flnc92 this question
-
How do you justify the criminal passages from the bible, where "god" is asking to kill homosexuals, to kill women (by stoning to death) that have sex during their period, to kill children who do not obey their parents?
I am just curious if you are calling this morality!
-
@48acar19 Besides, it seems a bit of a double standard to me, that the rest of the world demands the Christian faith to amend our beliefs to appease the rest of the non-believing world because people don't like being told what's right or wrong. When a liberal world view praises legal homosexual marriage and imposes athiestic teachings in the classrooms and universities, it's praised as human progress. Yet when Christians publicly voice their beliefs we're called intolerant and bigots.
-
@48acar19 on the contrary, giving in to the lust and acting on the attraction is the sin. Therefore the christian church as whole needs to do a better job of reaching out in compassion and letting them know that they are loved by the church as Christ loves the church, but just like any other sin christians may struggle with, we are called to lay aside those selfish desires for the sake of knowing Christ. It's very much possible to show that compassion and remain intolerant of the sin.

@48acar19 However I believe that it's necessary for Chrisitans as a whole to become more compassionate towards people who are gay, I personally know people in my church who struggle with homosexuality and have for decades in their life. Their struggle is not that the world tells them that because they live with that sin then chrisitianity does not accept them, their struggle is to not give in to the sin. The biggest misunderstanding is that the attraction is the sin,

@48acar19 I don't know if you are a believer or not sir so I'm not going to assume one way or the other, but to require the Christian church to tolerate an act that the scriptures have described as a sin would mean the Christians would become mum to the subject and thereby becoming permissive to something that the moral laws set by God deems sinful. Altering the message of the Christian faith to appease a liberal world is completely irresponsible on Christians part.
I like how this guy talks. Very slow and laid back.
