yes, ive started using blender and it is a little confusing at times, but ive been making little things like hats, knifes, etc. ihave no idea how to texture though, id love to learn how, all i know how to do is make a whole object one color...
@masorex These tutorials are for use with the virtual world Second Life, and the instructions include things needed specifically for creation with that in mind. So, not exactly, no. However, you'd do similar things. It's a little more straightforward with most game engines, and not so limited often, but you'd still want a low poly count, and texturing would be done similarly if done with procedurals. True texturing is more involved, though.
@MrTard Probably a different version of either Blender or the Primstar scripts. The Blender version is 2.49a, the Primstar scripts are... I honestly don't know what version. The same options should still be available, however.

@bastoldragonwoasta go in to edit mode, select the vertices you what to change, go to the materials panel and click "Assign" :-)
