Member of the 7th Grade Stream team in Sitka, Alaska install a large woody debris stream structure in a Starigavan River Tributary. This structure will help restore the stream habitat that was damaged by clear-cut logging in the 1960s. The stream will then begin to provide improved habitat for Coho Salmon and Steelhead Trout. These students are installing stream structures, collecting stream habitat condition data, and comparing conditions in logged vs. unlogged watersheds.
