To Whomever May have the answer, I have a question.
Do assigned armatures export correctly to simgeoms for sims 3? Do I still have to do morph states? If I have to do morph states can you direct me to a tutorial that says how to do this in blender? I have tsr workshop and blender.

Okay so I followed all of the steps but when I go to pose my bones my vertex groups will not move with them do you have any idea why?

@mechdudeman the second half of the screen cast (youtube.com/watch?v=adfw2UtKRV8) should fix that for you.

it seems the legs are actually not connected to the spine

@JAhU00 A fair point. In fact they're not -- a bone-headed mistake on my part. A better way to run the armature would be to have a handle sticking out of the small of his back, with the spine extruding up from the handle and the hips downward. Then you could grab 'im by his handle and move 'im around the scene too. It's on the long list of things I've been meaning to update in these videos. (Including shifting to v2.5).

Am I insane to be putting an armature on a plane model?

@sporeglitcher depends.... do you want to control the ailerons and flaps? (Or, better still, flap the wings?)
