What Rick is complaining about isn't that students can't pray in a public school, they can though there are limits (no disruptions). What bugs him is that the faculty can't direct and coerce prayers or have prayer time. He is demagoguing the issue as many in the Christian right believe it is illegal for students to pray.

Yes there are religious schools where this can be done they are private schools and don't get gov't money. I hope this hayseed stays in Austin, and it looks he will.
