The best Zelda yet. The creepiness/melancholy feeling in the storyline and sidequests were unprecedented in the Zelda series at that time. People actually felt afraid, sadness, people died, disappeared; it felt like a real world. This is what Zelda games need: Depth.

now this is a commercial, just abstract as hell until he says the 72 hours part, man the 90's was the stuff

After the whole commercial and he said "Rated E for everyone" just broke the ice and ruined it.

YIPES!
I actually really like this commercial, it gave me the chills back when i saw it on tv in 2000. wow.. i was 8, lol. I actually loved the game too, its just what a zelda game should be. granted, ocarina of time was deffinitly better, but MM was right up along there with it as one of the best games ever.

My second favorite zelda game ever. The feeling of doom on the towns people, the abilities of the mask, and the many many side missions made this game one of my favorite ever.
I love how the sequels usually have some werid aspect not from the original, looking forward to the possibe Twilight Princess sequel without a sword.
