Clearly, the shoes are not from the same proper pair. The should be checked against the pair in the Smithsonian NMAH. That pair is also mismatched.

@betteboy1984 Actually, time has faded their beauty! With all the light they have been around for (in this video) 60 years certainly took its toll on the sequins, and they are worn and have less color :P

@Bomby4130 No these aren't a lady won them in a contest and the close ups are owned by Philip Samuels who bought them for just above the price of these. An A&E special I watched here on youtube on hollywood artifacts. Mainly focusing on the ruby slippers and how when the first auction took place the close up shoes were taken from the box of ruby slippers going up for auction by Kent Warner as he helped get all the props ready for auction and took the props he wanted/had personal meaning to him.

You know Anthony Landini is not the original owner of this pair, actually before he owned them a lady by the name of Roberta Balmen owned them and won them in a essay contest right after the Wizard of Oz film was finished in the early 1940's. She thought she had the only pair which is this pair and she sold them at Tiffany's auction years ago to Anthony Landini.

To actually hold the ruby slippers!! I can only dream of it! I actually own a pair of boots used it "A Star Is Born" worn by Judy Garland herself, which I adore to no end; but the ruby slippers?! My god!

I was joking :)) they may be 'one of' the most expensive pairs of shoes in history - but we can still have a laugh can't we? or is this the serious page?
hmm 3 guys with a shoe fettish, or 3 guys with a rubber glove fettish?

Or three guys with cotton gloves (to protect the shoes) looking at the most expensive shoes in history?
