This is the prototype of my invention called Chordelia. The singing's pretty ropey(!), and it looks quite odd in places, but hey, it's our first effort - we just wanted to get something out there..

  • Thanks, Steve. You have a point, but certainly the left hand is a problem for lots of us...

  • wow this is so amazing! i hope someone is smart and invest in it Tim becasue it looks like a money maker :)

  • Thanks OrangeMoon - I agree completely!

    (Things are happening though...)

  • great idea tim, i would love to buy this, i cant play guitar at all, unlike andy... but i would love to play it

    malachy

  • Our first order! Thanks, Malachy. That qualifies for a 100% discount.. Working on the next prototype..

  • you clearly have some engineering talent

but the only use for this would be for a person with a disability . part of the reason for learning a musical instrument is the pleasure a musician achieves mastering it.

this invention limits the use of the guitar .

a proper guitarist can play hundreds of different chords, and their different inversions ,and has the scope to retune his guitar to lots of different tunings to play modal chords etc .

  • Spoken like a true musician - and of course I agree. But what about all those who aren't as clever/committed as you are? This is for people like me who gave up learning because it was just too hard. Hey - I'm finally learning to sing in tune - and it's fun!

  • hey, i recognise her. she is all grown up now.i still think a simple colour code would help for people with disabilities. i am sure some of the guys up at Co-Action would love to test drive it for you.best of luck, mate

  • This invention is not for musicians.

This is for ordinary people to be able to play a range of useful chords without years of practice.

I spent years struggling with my guitar. eventually gave up and bought a tenor Sax.

    Still got the guitar though...

So dig that guitar out from the back of the wardrobe, buy it a new set of strings, clamp on a Chordelia, and have a great summer.

    Chordelia is cool!

  • i saw you on dragons den last night and fair play to ya i hope u do well. but u said that the hardest part of learing guitar is the left hand. havin taught guitar i find the opposite. if someone has no rythm or timing u can't teach them, not even with this contraption! but good luck

  • Wow for someone you would love to play guitar,

I think this is a fab idea

  • Hey good stuff ! sorry avent had a chance 2 look @ video been really busy ! good video editing good video really hope it all goes well ! sam
