Since its foundation in 1977, The Jerusalem String Trio has received wide recognition as a vital factor in the Israeli Musical Scene. The ensemble appears regularly throughout Israel and has been heard in numerous live and recorded performances for Israel Broadcast Authority. In 1981 the Trio made an extremely successful debut, in concerts and broadcasts in several European countries. Since then they have visited many European countries, appearing in concerts at Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw, Salzburg Festival, Festival Cervantino - Mexico, and South America. In 1994 they made their first tour to Japan. In 1996 the Trio participated in the first Forbidden- City International Music Festival in Beijing - China. The Jerusalem String Trio recorded for various broadcasting corporations, including the BBC. In addition, the Trio has recorded CDs for the English Meridian company, the Dutch Channel Classics Studio company, and the Israeli CDI company. The Jerusalem String Trio performed with artists such as: Radu Lupu, Yefim Bronfman, Haan De Vries, Simon Dent, Abie De Quant, Daniel Adni, Ralf Gothoni and Pnina Salzman. All three artists are members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, performed as soloists with the major Israeli orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and are greatly involved in chamber music activities in Israel and abroad.

Excuse my classical ignorance, but the second "movement" of this is probably my favourite piece of music ever written. I expect that is what my wife will walk down the aisle to. :P
