Democracy Prep is a "Straight A" network, with 2,000 students across seven campuses in Harlem, NY and Camden, NJ, proving what is possible in urban education. We are preparing our responsible citizen-scholars to succeed in the college of their choice and a life of active citizenship.

Good Lord, I hope the earlier comments were more appropriate. These kids obviously worked hard. They'll always remember this experience, and when they're old enough, maybe they'll always vote, too. Unless of course they've been deluged with cynical comments. BTW, when I went to Indiana, you'd think there were no black people, or anybody but white people. This school is in Harlem. Duh! In schools across America, there are children and future citizens. 'Nuf said.

Considering how much pain and suffering the west has incurred on the world .

From invasions across multiple continents , to enslavement of the people , indoctrination of the indigenous population and cultural annihilation.

This is simply setting things back to it used to be.

Where all are equal , the forces are in balance .

And the west no longer represents humanity as a whole.
