The Eigenharp has two strip controllers, often used for pitch, effects or filter control.

  • why are so many people being such close minded aholes about this? This thing has such limitless potential, and I can see big name producers using it soon.

  • What I really want to know if whether these features can be developed using external software, ie having access to physical interface interactions through an open protocol or whether you are limited to the canned functionality provided by it's software. If the former then I'm pretty much sold.

  • I assume that all owners of this instrument are assholes since I have yet to find a performance of the Mos Eisley cantina song using one.

  • hmmm i still want to continuum personally, it seems a more pure representation of a way to get pitch to my synths, i mean it can do any pitch and the x axis can could control filters and release and stuff, it would be amazing

  • this instrument changes everything. It will be a big success.

  • are all those lights really necessary

  • @Macktheknife247 What the hell gave you the impression that I was knocking it?? For me it's way overpriced. New things like this always are. Remember the Atari 5600 video game when it first came out? $250.00! Now you can pick one up at tag sales for $10.00 including 25 games. I know because I did. You were still shiting yellow when Atari was big if you were born at all. Mind your own business and stop being a hater !!

  • @guitgeo Windows compatibility is coming *soon* but that's no reason to knock it; its very new software. Also, I will trade the two/three keyboards some guys use for more versatility any day. Who cares if you need a computer when you don't need anything else but an amp... O yea, and you can jump around stage instead of being a nerd in the back. I'm waiting for the windows version and getting a Tau. They're only $2755. Say hello to the new generation of synth players.

  • BTW - it will only work on a MAC. It's not Windows compatible and you still need to hook it up to your stereo or guitar amp to get any kind of decent sound. $5600 is way too expensive for this toy. I wouldn't call it portable either. You need a computer at all times to hear anything.

  • I use the Eigenharp as an extension of my existing experience with "traditional instruments, which I also possess. From an artist's perspective, anything I lay my hands on, has creative potential. As long as I can create great music, despite criticism from others. To me, there are NO boundaries or limitations when it comes to creativity and imagination.
