Chadders just shut the fuck up. To start with its not 40 years old. 2nd of all get a life and stop ruining peoples fun. 3rd of all the sound is fine. 4th of all I have loads of 40 year old stock and i'd pay to see them run that well! I got mine today, it arrived last week. Awesome model by any standards. I have even seen the real thing in Glasgow!

It looked like there was a lot of lateral hunting in that model, if that's the term I'm looking for; is that common?

Every company in the UK had different designs of locos, so even saying that you always thought the UK had best looking locos would've been vague.

Very interesting model. Tried running mine in on my layout, but it's tender derailed, so what does 123 do? Uncouples her self from the train, then uncouples her tender, runs right round the oval track, starts pushing her train and shoves her tender out the way in the process.
I swear, these models are smarter then humans.

スモークはやるかもしれないけど今ストック切らしちゃってるのよ。
