Works, if you're screw isn't already shredded to buggery! Vaillant have just cost me another visit by a plumber.

Just to say thanks for the video. Was looking for an external filling lube and the manual is rubbish. It basically says that if the pressure follows 0.8bar you should use your installer instructions to repressurize. Well i never got those instructions so was stuck! Thanks again.

Many thanks for this - we couldn't find the instructions anywhere in the manual - it just said to contact the installer, which at 10.00pm on a Friday night wasn't very helpful. This was just what we needed.
Just to note, we have a Vaillant Turbomax Plus, not the Pro, and only have one valve at the front not two.

Hey uploader, and thanks for the video :-)
Well i am affraid i messed up a bit. Before seeing this video, i opened the valve, and didnt close is it in time, so now it is basically stuck at 2,8-2,9.
I only did it because the central heating element wasnt working, no matter how one set the thermostat, yet the warm water heating for showers etc, was working fine. This is still the case btw, and the boiler isnt giving of any warnings about being at close to 3 b. either.
I hope it is alright...

then you have to much pressure in it I have sent you a email about the reasons
perhaps you should get it serviced and the engineers will be able to sort that out on a service call
Kind regards

What if its near the 3 mark?

when water gets hot it expands in your boiler there is a tank with air in it as air can be compressed the pressure in the system should stay constant
there are loads of reasons the pressure have gone to 3 bar
the air tank is faulty or needs some air
You have not disconnected the filling loop and water is passing in to the system
The domestic heat exchanger is faulty and letting water enter the heating system
