Hi I'm going into highschool and I was wondering if this would be a good gaming and school laptop?

Its good for gaming, but medium/light gaming... don't expect to be rocking full detail and 1080p games. It will serve you well if you dont need to be running the highest graphics with the highest resolutions.

School it will do anything just fine, its just a little big to haul around... the weight isnt _too_ bad, but there are lighter notebooks to use for school.

nice notebook buying one in 2 weeks. How do you like the keyboard? Do the keys ever stick? how thick is it in the backside next to the vga port is it 1.3 inches..

its an i7. its newer technology than core 2 duo. 1Ghz i7 is technically better. because there are 4 cores with turboboost. and if each core can go up to. 1.75 Ghz from one, that automatically is better than a 3 Ghz core 2 duo.
