This is at the 2009 US Dance Championships in Orlando, Florida. After approximately 15 lessons, this was my competition with Pro partner Izabella Lewandowski, dancing the Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. Of course I still have much to improve with technique, etc. and will be working on it with more lessons. Izabella and her husband Thomas later won 1st in the National Professional Show Dance competition and top finalists (5th) in the National Professional Latin Competition They will be representing the USA in the World Ballroom Competition. Of course it was a privilege to have Izabella as my Pro partner!
I couldn't tell by your description whether you've only had 15 lessons in latin or 15 lessons with your partner. Regardless, great job. You should be proud of yourself.

@kmpcpa Thanks for the comment, it was basically my first time with ballroom dance (had done some jazz in college) and got 3 lessons in each form, (Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, and Jive), so total of 15 lessons. I really wish I could have more lessons and practices to feel ready. But it turned out to be fun! My wife was doing ProAm a year prior, and I decided to do it along with her, but she was pregnant at the time of this comp, so it was just me!
