  • @Mickeydrews Cant hear footsteps etc when there is so much noise that it is damaging your ears either. Earplugs should be worn when it is too loud. Off course, when you do sneaky attacks, then take them off :)

  • top guys !!!! bill guarnere is still al there and a bit more !!!! what a guy !!!!

  • @Mickeydrews

Did you see how many paratroopers were in that forest. Close to thousands.

And you would only wear plugs during shelling. These men's hearing is excellent for their age even after that gruelling shelling. I wouldn't be surprised if they blocked their ears.

  • @wikiriwhi cant hear orders foot steps...etc with ear plugs

  • The fact that, as Buck Compton relates here, the Brecourt Manor Assault was taken with minimal briefing, makes that tactical manuever all the more incredible. To this day that assault is still taught in military schools of small arms overtaking larger artillery force.

  • I'm not surprised Don Malarkey talking about his ears with all that shelling in the Ardenne Forest.

    Ear plugs?

  • Real heroes there!

  • That's okay. You would have done the same with the training and the brotherhood.

  • Did he just call the British, "Limeys"? Hahahaha.

  • Respect.
