am I the only one who finds Louis attractive? ._.U He's kinda cute to me, but I keep forgetting the name of the actor.XD
Oh and this movie has GREAT photography. *-*

@radiopinkzeppelin2 the whole point is that you're being put entirely into marie's world, which is entirely contained within Versailles. "It is a self-governing architectural island, like Kane's Xanadu, that shuts out politics, reality, poverty, society." (Roger Ebert's review) politics and being historically accurate is just not the point of the film. get over it.

@RHIANNAKM what do you meant not ABOUT that? these are the MONARCHSs of a gigantic country, who else was responsible for the millions of starving frenchmen ?? Canyou pretend to be so obtuse in public not admit that focusing on the XVI's and Antoinette's sheltered lives to a pop rock soundrack without showing ONCE how their opulence bankrupted the nation is questionable and not in the least bit foolish...sigh
-
@radiopinkzeppelin2 why? really? this movie is not about that, as I'm sure you used that. That sort of contrast would have made the movie look incredibly foolish. This was clearly supposed to be a more metaphorical, artistic interpretation of Marie Antoinette's life as queen.

ecclectic mix, but it works i think...i just wish there would've been at least one scene showing the deplorable state the majority of france was in...you know, starvation, destitution...
I love that song!
