  • The US Navy intends to buy 480 F-35Cs to replace the F/A-18A, B, C, and D Hornets. The F-35C will also serve as a stealthier complement to the Super Hornet. [Not replacing the Super Hornet :) ]

  • soon to be replaced by f-35's...by soon i mean slowly and painfully

  • Woot, now RAAF has the super edition of it! suck you whiner whimps

  • @ameyzhere the tomcat was good but it wasnt that good even with the modifications they tried to put on the tomcat the hornet simply is just the more practical aircraft to do fit the navys jobs. the days of combat specific aircraft are gone the super hornet takes over more roles then most could even imagine. in a dog fight the super hornet can out maneuver a tomcat with ease the one this super hornet doesnt have the the tomcat did was the super BVR capability
