Hot Springs in Colorado - Penny Hot Springs (Carbondale)

Penny Hot Springs is a city-owned free, public hot spring. It's actually the really hot natural spring water pouring into the river, and local people have created a bathing area using huge rocks in the river. Local people gather there and it's a hidden social gathering spot. Grab a beer (or protein drink in my case) and bathing suit and meet new people there. I met some people there and had a fun time.

出てくるお湯は温泉玉子ができるくらい熱いんだけど、川の水がベ­ースなので、上手く混ぜないと熱いところと冷たいところに分かれ­てしまう。冬は足湯程度が丁度いいかな。早朝にここ行って、焚き­火と軽い食事でピクニックして、その後、Glennwood Springs の温泉が20分程度離れたところにあるので、そこで全身温まるの­もいいんじゃないかな。

人もいなくいいとこですネ、温度は何度ぐらいか知りたいです。来­年日本からの友達とドライブがてら行くのもいいかなーと思いまし­た。
