Debut single from Real Life. Released in May 1983, it had become a hit in their home town of Melbourne where it had reached No.3 on the charts.
Molly got them onto Countdown which saw them not only reach No.6 in Sydney and nationally in Australia but they also charted around the world.
In 1984 they reached No.29 on the US Billboard charts and had the Los Angeles Angels adopt it as their theme song and they hit No.1 in Germany in July 1984.
This is Real Life's signature song and there have been around 17 remixes released by the band in subsequent years.
Great song and one of my favourite Australian Pop/New Wave song of the 80's.

This song perfectly captures that 80's new wave techno sound so many bands later copied. Although the song is tacky now, in 1983 it was ahead of its time.
