  • because this actually makes you think and the general public likes fluff like hairspray & mamma mia

  • Exactly. No one likes a show that has real substance. Personally, this is one of my favorite shows. I hate shows like hairspray and mamma mia..they're boring to me.

  • this show has one of the most beautiful scores!i love this musical so much!why can't more musicals today have substance, personality and originality and beauty like this?

  • @dancingthru Totally agreed. The score hardly gets boring after a long time of listening - it's so different yet so beautiful, and being from the East myself, I identify with the book, lyrics and score very much. Absolutely one of my fav Sondheim shows.

  • B.D. Wong

  • I agree. Hairspray and Mamma Mia, while being cutesy and all, can't even compare with such a Sondheim piece as this. It's intelectually challenging and original, not that tired old "Good Morning Baltimore!" campy stuff.

  • OOh i likes this! Favorited and such

    what a lovely song :)

    and clever

  • why is this musical so underrated and unpopular?
