Driven vs. C'Thun (AQ40)

This is a video from 1/7/07 on one of our final attempts on C'Thun before actually beating the encounter the next week, literally 48 hours before the expansion pack came out.

Looking back on this video is interesting because I realize that I was not that great of a player back then, and honestly still have a lot to learn about the game. I also wanted to upload this video to show people who may not have been able to experience the fight a chance to see it and see how challenging the encounter actually is.

Yeah it really was, I had no idea WTF I really was doing, there wasn't nearly the great resources like we have now. You can probably see a LOT of SS with daggers; it's just bad...I'm fine with admitting I was terrible then.

@gislewink omg, ragnoros was so friggen daunting back then. i still run the vanilla instances with my guild, all these bloody guys who are all gogogogo, they have no idea about the old days ;'(

They didn't down him. It was an attempt. It's great to see footage from AQ pre tbc. I really wish Blizzard would create pre tbc servers. I miss the old days so much I can't explain it, MC was my favourite instance!

You get killed by lazars before the model for them spawns xD
