@LailaJohanna well I'm a fan of Ingrid Michaelson too. But I have to say here in Germany Cheryl Cole is known too. Mostly because of her hit "Fight for this love".

Well I wish Ingrid hadn't given her the song in the first place. Lol

@LailaJohanna Cheryl Cole is actually pretty famous in Europe, this song reached pretty much the top twenty in the whole of East Europe and Britain and does have a growing fanbase in US, though why is beyond me, but I think the main reason it's not malicious of Ingrid to perform the song is that she's not trying to make profit from it - she's not released it as a single to my knowledge? I could obviously have got this horrifically wrong, so correct me if so (:

@Daisy88999 I totally respect your opinion but just one thing. Ingrid is already a star. She isn't trying to gain fame from it. Google The Chain, or Be Ok, or Keep Breathing or any other of her hits. She wrote the song,so maybe she took it back for personal reasons, or she likes her version better. Both are terrific yet different versions.

@Daisy88999 She wrote it, its still her intellectual property (and she does it so much better than Cheryl Cole). Besides, the fame thing - Cheryl really is only known well in the UK, nobody knowns her in the US or the rest of Europe... so I don't think that is really the goal here.

@Daisy88999 it's not really unfair because she wrote it and since apparently it isn't exclusively for cheryl cole, she can do that. she's not really "taking it back" because cheryl still has her version. i don't really think she's specifically trying to gain fame from it. most artists i would agree with you on but ingrid does not seem that way at all.. tons of artists have double cut songs though, no need for selfishness! ( :
