Lucas Simms: Make Your Own

This is Lucas Simms from Fallout 3. If you want to make him say crazy stuff, go ahead. I have the files here for download to help you do just that. Read the instructions below for more details.

Step 1: Download the raw footage that from the above link.

Step 2: Use a video editing program of some sort to cut and move around the footage and audio to make something crazy. I like Sony Vegas. Magix Movie Edit Pro is decent. My friend LordOfCorruption likes Windows Movie Maker, but I think it kind of sucks. It should get you by if you're flat broke though, as it comes with windows. Try to make sure the final render is at 800 by 450. That should keep it at the correct aspect ratio for widescreen YouTube videos. WMV format works well for me.

Also, do whatever you want. Make it fun. You have full permission to combine it with the other Make Your Own footage if you want, or bring in new footage. This is just here to facilitate your creativity. You folks are the deciders.

Step 3: Upload the video you make to YouTube and respond to this video by posting it as a Video Response. That way everyone can see it and enjoy it.

As a side note, I'm currently well into making Sporeout 3: Part 2. Look for it on the "machinima" YouTube profile, or just click on it if you see it in my "Favorites" section. Watch Part 1 first though:

@overlordofdarkness01 I don't have the source files anymore due to hard drive crash. If anyone else still has them, please provide! I'll be able to stage them to MediaFire once you send me a link to download them. I bought a subscription to MediaFire because I got tired of Filefront being goddamn unreliable.

A much better way would be to splice the audio so it sounds decent enough, like with out being obvious that he is saying different things. Then actually make it an in game thing he says and use the lipsync program that bethsoft uses to do their voice syncing. Therefore you would have the best because it would seem like he was actually saying it in the game without any video editing softwareses.

For Bethesda I might actually learn their program, simply because I love their Oblivion and Fallout 3 games. Otherwise, I would say screw it, and I would do like the Captain Keyes head I uploaded and lip sync outside of the program. It doesn't look as good, but that technique is applicable to any game. But yeah, Fallout 3 and Oblivion might be worth learning the Construction Sets.
