The awesome and majestic power of metal. "Global Metal" is a new documentary about how this eternally rebellious music has spread and mutated across the planet, going deep inside the secret worlds of everything from Chinese black metal to Iranian thrash. You know it's going to be a killer flick, because "Global Metal" was made by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn - the same team who gave us the definitive metal doc, "A Headbanger's Journey".

  • look he can still like Pantera, but you don't have to be a fanboy to like a band. I mean he can respect Pantera, but maybe hasn't listen to it so much. Stop complaining

  • Maggotlam makes a very good point. I can name dozens of bands or artists that i cant stand listening to. however, i respect for their ability to be as charismatic and appealing as they are to their fan-base. Eg; Micheal Jackson, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and I would even go so far as to mention Eric Clapton.

Respect is universal. You dont have to like someone to respect them.

  • indonesia :D

  • maybe it's because Sam Dunn doesn't smoke green. I always liked Pantera as a band, but after I started smoking I started to LOVE Pantera.

  • @Totemhorn Being a pretty diehard Pantera fan, I kinda agree with this. What did Pantera save metal from? Grunge? Grunge killed itself (NO PUN INTENDED), and it will always be the die hard metal fans that save metal.

  • SHOWDOWNNN!!!!!! SHOOOTOUT!!!!

  • Lol, those are some of the easiest songs for a quiz, for a metalhead.

  • @zepvhrule I wouldn't say that Pantera saved metal. Metal in the 90's transformed somewhat and became varied. Personally, I think Pantera is overrated honestly and to think Pantera saved metal sounds awfully fanboyish.

  • @JaziB hmm. actually just thought he was a regular host on it. not much loud. but ok. i know the quiz was just for fun, but it seemed very.....stereotyipical of a non-metal listener.

  • @MetalHead420100 He hosted Loud on MuchMusic for years and you're telling me he doesn't listen to metal?

  • @zepvhrule dont forget 5 minutes alone

  • august burns red.
