Did you learn how to type on your keyboard by playing your piano when you were young? No... I became world famous on piano by first practicing my computer keyboard. : DDD!!!

He's the Michael Jackson of classical piano, through his passionate artistry bringing classical music to huge audiences around the world. Many young people have never heard anything like it - their hearts and minds are captured in a way that's never happened before.

Your understanding of Lang Lang is also comparable to the website you mentioned. Cluttered with preconceived biases and overall ignorance. To state that you don't like his interpretations is one thing. I sometimes feel that his interpretations don't capture the soul of the piece as its composer most likely intended.
But I recognize the journey he made both as a person, and as the most technically skilled pianist in the world, is extremely merit-worthy. Lang Lang's talent is real.

I agree - he is a pianist made for the masses. A pianist for the $. He can't even touch Kissin, Argerich, Volodos, Perahia, the list goes on... For them, it's all about the music, for Lang Lang, it's all about the "show." Not the pianist for someone that really loves the music. He does indeed play piano like a multimedia website - I can't argue with that: one with lots of pop-ups and cookies galore. He can play the piano though, but he's not going to as long as he's putting on this show.
