  • It's a cool feature, but will not destroy the kindle. The kindle has a specially designed screen that has the appearance of paper, and is a lot less harsh on the eyes than a bright-lit screen. Would you want to read an entire book on a bright computer screen? I wouldn't.

  • The Kindle is specifically designed for reading electronic books with e-ink technology whereas the iPad is designed for multiple activities that requires an LED screen. The iPad could not do these things with an e-ink screen.

  • BUY IT LOOK FREE SIPPING AT

    NO BAGS GREEN. C O M

  • Honestly, I can't stand reading on LCD screens. I have a nook and love e-ink displays <3

  • I think you have it wrong. Amazon Kindle DESTROYS Apple Ipad

  • @oggelbe2007 Where are you getting those numbers? Neither of the data plans cost that much. Furthermore, anyone with a jailbroken iPhone can just tether to there iPad. Even if you don't want that, it's not even required to use 3G. There are iPad models that don't even /have/ mobile broadband.

  • Is this the same asshole that said people don't read anymore?

  • Hows that $30 a month dataplan going?

  • the kindle is dead, no doubt about it. they're just going to keep decreasing the price for the kindle

  • @TheWanderingNinja I have read many books on my computer screen. But I get what you're saying

  • It destroys the Kindle for everything apart from reading books.

If you want to know if you can tolerate reading books on an iPad longterm, then read an entire book on your computer.

    Unpleasant? Yes.

Don't you think there might be a reason why very, very, very few people read books on LCD screens, and ebook readers didn't take off until electronic ink? The reason is electronic ink. The iPad doesn't have electronic ink.

  • @MrFixyourps3 STOP SPAMMING JACKASS.
