A simple way to use a remote control while missing one battery, is to take a paper clip and complete the circuit. This will only use one battery (obviously) and the voltage will be lower so you will need to get closer but it will still work! That way if someone steals a battery from you you can still use your device!

  • if you need to stand that close to the sensor why don't you just turn it on with the button on the tv?
