Hanging out with my drumkit for the Meatbats!

Hi people!

First of all, I must admit this is a bit long. I didn't realise at first, and then couldn't do the cut in the editing. But I'll be glad that you watch it at least once entirely if you have enough patience ;D

I recorded this for a drum solo contest organized by Chad Smith's new band, the Bombastic Meatbats! And when I saw the prizes we could win (and even if I already saw solos on the contest page that were 10 times better than mine), I decided to do something, even though I don't like soloing. As you know, what I prefer is to jam with my bassist ^^

I don't consider this as a real solo, but this is more like what happens when I sit behind my drumkit after a long day of work...

I did a bunch of mistakes too, I hope you won't mind too much :)

what equipment do you use fantin? like drumsticks, and kit!

@wasid13 in this video I use my PDP orange sparkle drumkit, of the X7 series. Don't remember which drumsticks it was, but I generally play with Vater 5A sticks! And my snare is a Tama, John Blackwell signature :)

Goddamn, you and David, dude. You two have this awesome groove to your music, it just makes me want to listen to it over and over again. You two have some awesome talent. And this really did have a jam session feel to it, something I like in solos. Great job, five stars (if they still had stars)

Okay, normally I don't like drum solos that last nearly 10 minutes, but you're so dynamic and sound really different. You and the rest of Deep Kick have all the tones that I like from all my favorite bands, and with a little work on the lyrics you guys will be on my favorite bands list for sure!
