i love how everybody grew up on this band, definately- punk saved my life, but the descendents enhanced my troubled youth. every song is memories.

band did change my life - first "punk" show i ever saw in 1985/86 on Enjoy tour. they were punk within punk for being so punk to see about real life feelings and not just lame macho crap...they taught a lot of us that it was ok to feel shitty about a girl, etc.

i grew up skating to this band...they are my whole youth ....they made me wanna band/skate a girlfriend everything

Milo mailed this video to my friend on VHS about 15 years ago along with a autographed i dont want to grow up shirt no joke!

ive been listening to the descendents since I wa like a pre-teen. but their music didn't really hit me till there was something that had happened to me where I could really relate to one of their songs. now there are so many of their songs that when I listen to them, it reminds me of something I went through. I loved reading that Milo said all the songs he writes involve something that had actually happened to him. the songs just hit you that much harder. milo knows you!

@unfortunatebeam While we were living through this we call it "Soft Core".

apparently there are a lot of 11 year olds commenting on this video.. I mean really.. name one fricken band out there with this style and structure! cmon kids pull the song apart and take a closer look..

Don't Want To Grow Up is such a terribly underrated album. I'm so glad they never tried to live up to a "punk ideal" and just played heartfelt music. This band will change your life if you give them the chance.

This song sounds so modern day pop punk it's not even funny. Little did the audience know they were hearing what punk rock would sound like 20 years later! Funny how I like them so much when I dislike so much of the newer pop punk bands that basically steal their sound.
