Remembering Silverback Pablo
Legendary silverback Pablo, who was an important member of the largest group of mountain gorillas ever recorded, has been missing since July and is presumed to have died, following an altercation with other gorillas. Pablo was first seen by Dr. Dian Fossey and has been observed ever since.

@dselvidge there are way too many humans living on this planet. a couple sub human people in africa dying is no big deal...gorrilla's deserve to live just as much as we do if not more because they are endangered

Would killing 700 Gorillas have saved these people?

@ dselvidge ... its shows your complete lack of knowledge to suggest that farming was the root of this conflict. Farming does not occur at the higher altitudes where the gorillas live. If Rwandans wanted to avoid conflict it was easy. POACHING was the problem. Decapitating heads/arms for money. Do not even try to suggest Fossey was MURDERED so people could plant their crops.

Dian Fossey criticized the Rwandans for doing such t"errible" things as planting crops to feed their families. These scientists have lived a sheltered life in academia and have not a clue how the world works outside their little area of expetise. I believe human survival comes first. Would you tell a starving African child they should preserve gorillas lands instead of planting crops for food? Dian Fossey was a racist alcoholic sociopath. Research for yourself.
