I disagree with you on this one, Dan. Although I do agree in part, that 'anonymous' leaves a lot of room government 'infiltration'. I think it is important to emphasize that anonymous doesnt seem to be a group, you dont have to 'join'. This idea that gov's can introduce an 'internet 2' is over simplified, the internet is not just a thing in a box that can be taken and replaced. Even in China they fail to do so. At what point do we disobey the law? The government is taking away our rights ANYWAY.

But how else are we supposed to defend our rights? The Occupy Wallstreet movement gets pretty much completely ignored, the outrage on the internet isn't taken into consideration and no peaceful demonstration ever got the people anywhere when they are up againt the government (which is supposed to protect the people btw, oh the irony), what, short of actual violence, will help us? The opinions of the people aren't important for the politicians, no matter how loudly voiced.

hi dan. first of all i'm a subscriber and huge fan of your work and the amount of awareness you bring to very important issues. however, i think we should fight back against the actions taken by the government and bills such as ACTA. the direction that this is going is inevitable, but it's a path that was set by them and not us. eventually we need to flex our collective intellectual muscle in order to show them our side is growing in numbers and quality. the govt will take these measures anyway
