Hoophouses can be used to extend the growing season, produce off season crops or create a controlled environment for plants. Visit a hoophouse in northwest lower Michigan where a farmer brings heirloom tomatoes to market by mid June.

  • $6 per pound... yeah right.. I cant get $1 per pound. this video is a joke

  • @sebring4444

Actually $7 per pound early on, to a wholesale account at a busy restaurant. He 'compromises' at $6 later in the season, when tomatoes are plentiful. But the buyer knows that if he doesn't pay the price, come next May and June, these high quality tomatoes will be on someone else's menu.
