@carpdiem88 If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say perhaps it had something to do with not wanting to cause massive injury to someone as part of a light-hearted children's game. The threat of a resulting prison sentence probably had some influence too.

Mind you those two kids just seemed to be mumbling hteir way thorugh all of that. Andf is it just me or did Timmy not seem to think too much of the prize they were offering?

Notice as the game goes on... they seem to get more traumatized.. :( ... I just get a view of timmy mallett having his head bashed in by a couple of folk i saw on the JK show :)

They'd never get away with that, nowadays. Hitting children on the head might cause them some kind of, 'trauma', (not to mention child abuse), and Mallett and TV-am would be sued/prosecuted..(!)

Although, some of the kids of today might actually benefit from that soft Mallett, as it might knock some sense into them!
