Dateline NBC followed five men with thinning hair, the "Follicle Five," through a variety of hair regrowth treatments under the care of Hair Restoration Physician, Dr. Alan J. Bauman. In this last of the multi-part series the final 12 month results were revealed. Which of the men had the most regrowth after one year? Will Paul ever get his 'rock-star' hair back?

For more information on the medications and treatments (minoxidil, finasteride/Propecia, laser therapy and hair transplantation) prescribed by Dr. Alan J. Bauman to help the Follicle Five, please visit http://www.baumanmedical.com

  • does this work for black people? can you answer that please

  • @razag911 Yes. Hair Transplants are successful regardless of ethnicity. We have many examples of patients of African descent on whom we have performed NeoGraft FUE hair transplants. FUE transplants are popular because they leave no linear scar and short haircuts are possible. --Dr. Alan Bauman

  • I thought laser comb was a gimmick, but I guess it did kind of work for one of the brothers

  • @Peace3500 Yes laser therapy can be effective. LaserCap solves the issue regarding "dosage and delivery" making it easy and convenient compared to old comb/brush-type lasers and in-office treatments.

  • First to comment! Does bosley actually work ?

  • wow

  • I think the guy Paul who did the hair trasplant got the best results of them all! Everyone else really didn't gain anything, but thanks for posting this!

  • This must be a set up, or else its quite pathetic.

  • Nah, I have insanely thick hair. Although, I am starting to see more and more grays :-( Oh well, I'd rather be gray than bald.

  • I would LOVE to be a Volunteer for a Hair Transplant, thank you !
