Feeding Lamb Breast to a First Timer

Bella, one of our foster dogs, discovers the joy of eating whole raw lamb breast for the first time. You'll notice she doesn't quite know what to do with it in the beginning, but it doesn't take her long to learn. It took her about 25 minutes to finish a 1.5 lb rack. If only all our dogs chewed as thoroughly as Bella!

OMG, LAMB? Lamb is EXPENSIVE! Do you just get any meat from a grocery store or do you buy a special brand/sort?

We belong to a co-op consisting of a bunch of other raw feeders. Once a month, we pool our orders together and buy in bulk directly from local ranches, who deliver to one person's house so we all pick up from there. Lamb breast is one of the few things we purchase at a supermarket--Lunardi's. $1.89/lb for trimmed (ie. most of the excess fat cut off), $1.19/lb for untrimmed. Trimmed lamb breast is one of the more expensive cuts we feed but not often. Most cuts we feed cost less than $1/lb.

spoiled ass dog. i rarely have the privelage to eat lamb :(. lol, but usually when feeding raw to a first timer u have to hold it for them so they get a grasp on chewing, but this one seems to get the idea.

sad to see a dog not know how to work meat in its natural state :( (not at all bashing your dog) just mentioning how the kibble/canned market has changed our world so much that a dog will willingly eat dry spheres than work down lamb...so nice to see your dog enjoying it in the end of the video :)
