Pietro Antonio Fiocco (or Pier Antonio or Pierre-Antoine), 1654 - 1714 was an Italian Baroque composer.
Version of this piece for two violins arranged by Scott Staidle - very cool arrangement; a steady drive, colorful violin timbers, typical baroque crispiness...
Recorded by Duo ECO, Eva and Pavla Franců, mother and daughter. Duo ECO is probably unique in the European chamber music space due to its 99.09% (thereabouts...) coverage of the original violin duo repertoire (and vn + vla, too). See, pls, www.duoeco.eu for details. Many Czech composers dedicated their pieces to Duo ECO, too.
Fiocco´s Allegro recorded LIVE, July 2009, in the Prague Saint Wenceslaus Church "Na Zderaze". Many thanks to Mrs. Emanuela Blažková, the Czechoslovak Hussite Church parish for support.
