@nickkjohn u can be rican and black but rican has more ties to latin then black yo. So if your talkin either or rican IS NOT black African is not black in fact black or even white are two of the most ignorant terms ever when you actually think bout it. Black is more of a culture thing that developed with many who didnt know their ancesteries due to slavery. Take somebody off the boat from africa and call them black and you'll get an earfull.

vee19681..so you can't be part Haitian and Puerto Rican and still "black"? The last time I checked about 99% of Hatians and many Puerto Ricans have orgins from countries in African too - the same Africa - the continent that we African-Americans came from. The same goes for Brazil, Jamaica, The Dominican Republic, and many others...Point is, America isn't the only country that has black people from Africa. So, yes Maxwell can be part Haitan and part Puerto Rican, and still be black...he is black.
