  • I guess the scary music is supposed to combat the logical and intelligent points made by the President of the United States during this video. I'd say the more you show Obama speaking intelligently on the topic the more your unsupported claims of socialism look rather foolish.

BTW what's that Republican plan for healthcare reform? And remind me again what they did about healthcare during the 8 years of the Bush Administration.

  • The Republicans kept it from being nationalized which they might not be able to do now. When you have absolute idiots like Schakowsky actually saying they want to eliminate the private sector, then you know what these big government statists really want. Obama has said himself on multiple occasions he wants single payor system. I'm continually amazed how much you trust government and are willing to hand freedoms over to them. Medicare is bankrupt yet you trust them to take over healthcare.

  • A public option or even single-payer is still not a government takeover. Private doctors, private hospitals, etc. You prefer corporate bureucrats to government bureucrats. I've got news for you - the whole damn country is going to be bankrupt soon if we don't pass some real health insurance reform. You trust the Air Traffic Controllers to keep u safe? You trust the police to help you in an emergency? You trust the fire department to come to your aid? Efficient govt does have a role in society.

  • Obama has proposed more spending in his term so far than the country has combined up to this time. Don't lecture me about spending and a nation going bankrupt. We borrow 43 cents on every dollar right now. The so called stimulus package is a complete joke. Obama promised that it would keep unemployment at 8%. But again, he is not held to his promises because he is the "healer of this nation." After all, everywhere he goes he apologizes for this nation including the pitch for the Olympics.

  • The liberals that blame the "evil health insurance companies" just chap my ass. Yes, a health insurance company is a business and not out for your best interests, but the reason healthcare is so high is because doctors and hospitals charge whatever the hell they want and bill the insurance company. For example, 1 night in my hometown hospital costs $13,000. Does anyone think that 1 night in a hospital legitimately costs $13,000?

  • stuff is awesome

  • @truthforamerica Unemployment was at 10% when Reagan was in office.

Next time you support the companies that outsource the same jobs America is losing, try having some logic.

  • Awesome Video. Direct and to the point.

  • Rather than spending $1.6Trillion and killing off the middle and upper classes with taxes Republicans like these two main ideas:

Tax cuts to help people buy insurance.

Allowing people to buy cheaper insurance across state lines.

  • I support nationalized medicine.

  • What the Republicans don't want to say is they like it the way it is.. Rich people getting richer.. Deep down they see nothing wrong with it. I'd almost have more respect for them if they just admit that.

  • fact : i'm from canada, we have healthcare, what you right wingers are saying are RIDICULOUS.

  • When Bush took office, the debt was $5.73 trillion. When he left, it was $10.7 trillion. That's a difference of $4.97 trillion.

"As of June 2009, Obama's policies enacted into law were only a minor influence on debt and deficit projections."

You are in no position to now be outraged about the debt or budget deficits after what we just went through under Bush. Budget surpluses to record deficits!

Bush projected a $1.288 trillion surplus from 2001 to 2004. Did Beck not talk about that?
