@jon3800 thanks so much for all of the info!! i just took out the and and wood louse in there. and you should check out a Kukulcania hibernalis. not exacly a T. but it is fairly large and docile. i should be posting a video in a few months when i get back from my break about what they are like and how often they should be handled. i own one, but she is VERY moody and i try to refrain from holding her. they are 5usd and a fascinating species.I would really consider this spider for your collection

also, i have been feeding it red ants and wood louse bugs, is that a smart thing? or what else should i feed. its about an inch long

@ColoradoLizardDude
that is a not a smart idea. Red ants and wood louse bugs, if you found them outside or in your house..you have NO idea where it's been and can carry either pesticides and harmful bacteria to your T. Just watch most of the feeding videos. You'll find that I use pinhead crickets bought from the pet store work best

hey jon, i have a question. i got my Desert blonde a few months ago, and it hasn't molted yet. it is still a sling and i know they molt quite often, but i still am wondering. Also, desert blondes are my favourite species at the moment, but on some pictures they are boring and brown, but on others, they are really quite pretty with all the gold. which is which? blonde=male or female? it has a black spot on its back if that helps determin the coloration?(sory for spelling im tired lol)

@ColoradoLizardDude
Actually A.chalcodes slings RARELY molt very often, even as slings. It HIGHLY depends on pictures and species. If it's old and blonde like the 2 that I have then they are mature females. Old specimens that Black with copper carapaces usually indicate mature males.
The black spot on the abdomen does NOT help determine the coloration. All Aphonopelma chalcodes slings have this. I own a desert blonde myself and has the same black spot
