  • @KeithKruud You are correct but the A13 flyover was built in 1970.

  • worked on pitsea market at the age of 8 working on a joke stall, selling itching powder, whoopy cushions and fake blood........ I used to also get cups of tea and coffee for the stall holders....what a mad little childhood I had.... I loved working on the market

  • The flyover was not the A13 bypass but the southmayne flyover. The A13 flyover was not started until several years later.

  • £40,000.. We could use these for a festival.. half the price of BasFest! Wonder if the council still have them in the loft.

  • I can still remember walking round inside those in the early 70's with my mum.. dodging the rats lol. Am I remembering right that there were coloured panels on them?

  • I remember these from 1980. They were still there - so much for the 10 year stand eh!
