Star Trek - Attack of the Klingons - Preview 1

This is my big project in 2012, the final version will contain two parts. First part is the spacedock departure known as "Stealing the Enterprise" of Star Trek III, second part is a battle with a Klingon Bird of Prey and some footage of Star Trek V.

Okay Mylex. How long have you been working on that Space Station. It looks terrific. Are you combining models, or are they the same scale in the same shot? Or is it a secret? *evil grin*

The Spacedock is not mine, it was created by Raul Mamoru a great 3D Meshbuilder which had also build the Reliant mesh. I only create new Space Doors and several interior.

Shots with moving camera are complete rendered with background and ship. Shots with still camera had seperate renders, because of the faster render time.

Question, have you ever thought about doing a combine work with CJCA915 and VideoSpaceFX and creat something that could only be described as pure awesomeness?

Problem is, every 3D Artist has his own style and working with different programs, so it would be difficult to work at one project.

@mylex67 But not impossible, your all VERY talented, as I said to FX, the idea would be to complete a long scene or make up an entire new scene, divide the work between you guys separating each scene, obviously coordinate your work with one another. The idea is not to compare each others work but more so to work on a joint long (or short) project. Your all amazingly talented and in my book, your are all evenly skilled...

@VideoSpaceFX I see, where I respect your work more for not liking the 2009, terrible movie but that's a different discussion for another day. As far as a project goes, I see mylex, yours (FX), and CJ as excellent work, you guys could divide your work to complete a story (clip). The whole idea is to see your artistic skills, not how great your visual look compare. Say you guys made a 15 minute clip, divide that by 3, 5 minutes is dedicated to each artist to complete a clip...

I agree with what mylex says here unless it was some kind of big project where each of us took care of different areas. His work is visually far superior and it would be hard for me to match that. I would help in creating any Star Trek project, be it story ideas, making sure it fits in with the established chronology etc. so long as it was faithful to pre-2009 Star Trek. I actually get messaged all the time about it, but most ideas don't come to anything.
