Organic chemistry: Ethers. Williamson ether synthesis (preparation of ethers via SN2); retrosynthesis. Digression on how to remember the Brønsted-Lowry and Lewis definitions of acids and bases. Cleavage of ethers with haloacid (HX). Effect of positive formal charges on reactivity. Effect of acid or base on reactivity.

  • @furyberserk salt, which is sodium chloride is a ionic bond. It has a scent. Therefore, what your high school teacher told you is wrong.

  • Nas - Ether

  • Honestly, if it wasn't for you I don't know where I would get the confidence to truly understand this material. You are one of a kind and love watching/learning the series of your videos! God bless!

  • My teacher in high school taught me that ionic bonds have no scent, but covalent bonds dooo!!!

  • this video is good

  • I too, love this man.

  • How do you draw CCC(C)COCC ignoring the H's ? I'ms stumped

  • OMG you have a nice clean board in these ones! You of all people deserve a nice chalkboard.

  • I know a kid who took organic 1 three times...at my school you have to start paying out of state tuition if you are taking a class for the third time...ouch.
