I have a strong aversion to altering the sound in any way. I'll leave a bit of hiss in if it's absence is noticeable. Although transferring at 78 rpm is faster, dubbing at 33 1/3 preserves the resolution of the sound and brings out the crispness of the high frequencies, and equalization required is minimal that way. Maybe I'll do a video explaining how it's done. Thanks for your comments-Mickey

Hawkins certainly is impressive here. Alas the arrangement is not so well played as in both other recordings of this number. (One with Hawk playing bass sax and one with Redman scatting)

Not heard this version of Hop off before. Nice to hear a different version for a change. Jazz never did stand still even in the same band and that's what keeps the music fresh.
