@gabbb432 That one percent change includes births that are induced, which makes rupture on a scarred uterus far more likely. If the labor is allowed to progress normally, the risk of rupture is nearly as low for VBACs as for anyone else.

Wonderful family you have, and so inspiring to see you living your dreams and ethics! Keep strong!!

Peace and thank you for the compliment. I do strongly suggest that you speak with someone before waiting out your active labor and also have a plan no matter what you decide to do after consulting with a midwife or gynecologist. If I can be of any help just send me a message. Congratulations on your growing family.

Thank you so much. It really depends on the state and city in which you reside. We were able to fill out the form and the witness had to sign or fill out information as well, we took our daughter to the pediatrician who did her check up and brought that paperwork as well. I don't remember do much else, but I know it can be a little more tasking in some areas.

the csection rate is increasing and it is so sad because many parents seem uninformed and some are deciding when they want to give birth ... society has got to slow down and stop trying to control nature.
Homebirth, with a normal healthy pregnancy is usually a great option for mothers, BUT unassisted HBAC is dangerous. There is a 1% chance with VBAC that the uterus will rupture. This happened to my sister, being in the hospital saver her but her baby died. There is a 1% chance a HBAC will result in a ruptured uterus. And wher this happens you have MINUTES to get a C sections before you or your child DIE!!!!! Congratulations or your baby but this was irrisponsible. I don't want more babies dying.

@gabbb432 Thank you for your comment and concern and I am very sorry to hear about your sister's experience. While these statistics are true, major abdominal surgery also has a fatality rate for both mother and child. Multiple c-sections is in no way safer than having a vbac or hbac especially if the mother is healthy and educated. There are always variables, but birth is not a medical process and in some ways it is irresponsible to walk into a hospital filled with illness if you are healthy.

Thanks for the encouragement! First was natural at birth center 9 lbs 9 oz. Second lost health coverage and ended up at hospital... they didn't let me change positions... c-section 9 lbs. 9 oz, 2 wks early. With this one.. I considering going unassisted. I never want to be in a hospital again!!! Fabulous to see you had a wonderful VBAC!

wow, those are some healthy babies you delivered and I cannot believe the second child was over 9 lbs and 2 weeks early, what a blessing. Please let me know where you are in your pregnancy or after birth. Peace
