  • @d3tach3d

People should charge for that type of stuff

  • This is great, make that GREAT advice. I see friends always running after bigger, better, best, when in fact they never fully explored or used the equipment they already have to it's full potential. It drives me nuts. A lot of musicians don't take time to create new sounds, they buy new equipment hoping it will do something different. How many home studios went from 4 tracks to 24 tracks or more just in the past 10 years, when much of the 4 track stuff was better. More does not equal better.

  • I've had my blackberry for a year, my toaster oven for two years, my AV Receiver for four years, my microwave oven for ten years, and they all have shitloads of buttons and features and crap that I still don't know about. Personally I would prefer it if my toaster oven and microwave had two dials each, one for time and one for power, but maybe I'm just an old fart technophobe. Bottom line is I don't need any more buttons.

  • nonsense for telling someone a trick of the trade? Bullshit.

  • 110% Truth. Gotta spend 'fuck-off' ridiculous amount of hours learning what you have, not jumping from one piece of gear to another coz you're bored. Great advice.

  • On complicated stuff I don't give out free advice. There is PLENTY all over here on YouTube or just Google it. Don't waste my damn cell phone minutes unless you're going to pay me a consultation fee!

  • that was good advice because I'm always learning new stuff from my gear

  • having seen the other vedio's i get the feeling his a bit disenchanted with engineering, or engineering today at least

  • I like this guy.

  • he know what he talking about
